WELLNESS | DANA POINT & SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY

Optional Wellness Enhancements at South Orange County Wellness

At South Orange County Wellness, clinical treatment is the foundation — PHP, IOP, and individual therapy are where the core work happens. The services on this page are something different: optional wellness enhancements available to enrolled clients who want to complement their treatment with additional support.

None of these are required. None are pushed. They’re simply available — for clients who are curious, motivated, or looking for ways to support their recovery outside of traditional therapy hours. Some have robust research behind them. Others are experiential in nature. All are offered with appropriate clinical and medical oversight.

How Wellness Enhancements Fit Into Your Care

These services are designed to work alongside clinical treatment — not to replace it. Here's what that looks like in practice:

Always Optional

Your clinical treatment plan — PHP, IOP, or individual therapy — is never contingent on participating in any wellness service. These are available for clients who want them, not required of anyone.

Clinically Coordinated

Availability and appropriateness for each service is discussed with your clinical team. We make sure any wellness additions make sense for your situation and aren't working against your treatment goals.

Medically Supervised

Services involving any physiological intervention — IV hydration, peptide therapy, TMS — are administered by qualified medical staff with appropriate oversight. Nothing is offered casually.

Adjunctive, Not Standalone

These services are most effective when paired with active clinical care. We don't offer them as standalone treatments — they're part of a broader picture of recovery support.

Why Whole-Person Care Matters

The research on what makes mental health treatment effective is consistent: programs that treat the whole person — not just a set of symptoms — tend to produce better, more lasting outcomes. That means clinical rigor, yes. But it also means physiological regulation, movement, sleep, community, and experiences that reconnect people with their bodies and their lives.

The wellness services at South Orange County Wellness aren't a luxury tier. They're a reflection of what we believe recovery actually requires — especially for people who've been running on empty for a long time.

We're located in San Juan Capistrano, minutes from Dana Point and easily accessible across South Orange County. Everything on this page is available to clients without a long commute — which matters more than it might seem when you're doing intensive work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wellness Services

No — these are entirely optional. Your clinical treatment plan is not contingent on any wellness service. They're available for clients who want them, and that's the extent of it. No pressure, no expectation.
Some may be, depending on your plan. TMS therapy, for example, is increasingly covered by insurance for qualifying diagnoses. Other services like IV hydration and peptide therapy typically involve an additional cost. Our admissions team will walk you through what applies to your situation.
Wellness enhancements are primarily available to clients enrolled in our PHP or IOP programs. Some services may be available to individual therapy clients on a case-by-case basis — ask your clinician or admissions coordinator for details.
The best place to start is your intake conversation with our admissions team. They'll ask about your goals, your clinical situation, and what you're looking for — and can point you toward the services that make the most sense. Your clinical team will also weigh in once you're enrolled.
Equine and wolf therapy sessions are currently offered monthly for eligible clients. Surf therapy is in development — if you're interested in being notified when it launches, let your admissions coordinator or clinical team know.

Recovery is more than the absence of symptoms.

It's building something worth coming back to. Our team is here to help you figure out what that looks like — clinically and beyond.
