About South Orange County Wellness
South Orange County Wellness was built on a simple but uncommon conviction: that mental health treatment should be clinically rigorous, deeply personal, and genuinely integrated into the life you’re already living. We’re an outpatient mental health center located in San Juan Capistrano — rooted in the coastal community of South Orange County, and built specifically for the adults who call this region home.
We exist because the standard model of mental health care wasn’t working well enough for the people who needed it most. Weekly appointments alone aren’t enough for everyone. Long drives to distant facilities create friction that keeps people from showing up. Generic programs that treat every client the same produce generic results. South Orange County Wellness was designed as an alternative — intensive when intensity is needed, flexible when life demands it, and always built around the individual in front of us.

What We're Here to Do
"At South Orange County Wellness, our mission is to provide modern, compassionate, and clinically excellent mental health care that empowers individuals to heal, grow, and thrive."
Rooted in the coastal community of Dana Point, we are dedicated to supporting working professionals, adults, and individuals seeking meaningful change through personalized outpatient treatment in a welcoming and progressive environment. We believe mental wellness should be accessible, individualized, and integrated into everyday life — and we've built everything we do around that belief.
A Different Kind of Mental Health Center
South Orange County Wellness was built to fill a specific gap — and everything about how we operate reflects that intention.
Clinically Specialized
We don't treat everything. We treat a focused range of conditions — depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, trauma, grief, ADHD, and co-occurring disorders — with evidence-based approaches delivered by clinicians who specialize in what they treat. Depth over breadth, always.
Genuinely Individualized
No two treatment plans look the same here. Every client's program is built around their specific diagnosis, history, goals, and life circumstances. The right level of care, the right modalities, the right pace — determined collaboratively, not by a template.
Integrated Into Real Life
We're an outpatient center by design. PHP, IOP, and individual therapy are structured so that treatment fits alongside work, family, and community — not as a replacement for life, but as a support within it. That's intentional, and it works.
Optional Wellness Enhancements
For clients who want to go deeper, we offer experiential and wellness-based adjuncts that are rare in outpatient mental health: TMS therapy, IV hydration, cold plunge and sauna, equine therapy, wolf therapy, surf therapy, and peptide therapy — all available alongside core clinical programming.
South OC's Own
We're not a national chain or a franchise. We're a community-rooted center built specifically for the people who live in South Orange County — from Dana Point to San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Beach to San Clemente. This is where we're from, and it shows in how we operate.
Human Connection at the Center
Evidence-based treatment is the foundation. But the relationship between client and clinician — built on trust, honesty, and genuine care — is what makes it work. We take the clinical side seriously and the human side equally seriously.
Our Approach to Mental Health Treatment
Treatment at South Orange County Wellness starts with a thorough understanding of who you are — not just what you're diagnosed with. Our clinical team takes time to understand your history, your goals, your life circumstances, and what's already been tried before building a plan around you.
From there, treatment is delivered across the right level of care — PHP for those who need intensive daily structure, IOP for those who need consistency with flexibility, and individual therapy for those who need ongoing specialized support. Levels of care are not permanent assignments; they're adjusted as you progress.
Evidence-based modalities are the foundation of everything we do. EMDR, CPT, ERP, DBT, ACT, Prolonged Exposure — our clinicians are trained in the specific approaches that have the most robust research support for the conditions they treat. And for clients who want to complement their clinical work with something more, our optional wellness enhancements offer a genuinely distinct dimension of support.
Evidence-Based First
Every primary treatment modality we use has a robust research base behind it. We don't experiment with our clients' care.
Trauma-Informed Throughout
Trauma informs how we approach every client — not just those with a PTSD diagnosis. Safety, trust, and pacing are built into our clinical culture.
Whole-Person Oriented
Mental health doesn't exist in isolation from physical health, sleep, community, and meaning. Our approach treats the whole person — not just the presenting symptoms.
Community Connected
We believe recovery is stronger when it's connected to real life. Our programs are built to support — not interrupt — clients' relationships, careers, and communities.
How We Structure Treatment
South Orange County Wellness offers three levels of outpatient mental health care — each designed to provide the right amount of support at the right point in someone's journey.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Five days per week of structured, full-day programming — group therapy, individual sessions, psychiatric support, and skills development. For adults who need real intensity without residential care.
Learn about PHP →Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Three to five days per week of evidence-based group and individual therapy. For adults who need consistent, structured support while maintaining work, family, or other responsibilities.
Learn about IOP →Individual Therapy & Outpatient
Specialized one-on-one therapy with trained clinicians. For adults beginning treatment, maintaining progress after a higher level of care, or seeking targeted individual support.
Learn about outpatient →Optional Wellness Enhancements
One of the things that genuinely sets South Orange County Wellness apart is our suite of optional experiential and wellness-based enhancements — available to enrolled clients alongside their core clinical programming. These aren't required. They're simply available for clients who want to go deeper.
TMS Therapy
FDA-cleared, non-invasive brain stimulation for depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD.
IV Hydration
Fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins delivered directly to support physical recovery alongside treatment.
Cold Plunge & Sauna
Contrast therapy for nervous system regulation, mood support, and stress resilience.
Equine Therapy
Experiential sessions with horses for trauma, trust, emotional regulation, and self-efficacy.
Wolf Therapy
Structured sessions with socialized wolves — one of the most distinctive experiential offerings available.
Surf Therapy
Ocean-based therapeutic sessions using surfing to support recovery — uniquely suited to our South OC location.
The People Behind the Care
South Orange County Wellness is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and clinical support staff with deep experience in outpatient mental health — specialists in what they treat, not generalists trying to cover everything. The team is the program. Getting to know who you'll be working with matters.

Psychiatrists providing evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management
Clinical staff trained in evidence-based modalities — EMDR, ERP, CPT, DBT, ACT
Admissions coordinators who make getting started straightforward and pressure-free
Rooted in South Orange County
We're located at 27123 Calle Arroyo, Suite 2100 in San Juan Capistrano — minutes from Dana Point and centrally positioned to serve communities across South Orange County without requiring clients to travel far from home.
Location was a deliberate choice. South OC is a community with a distinct character — coastal, community-oriented, and home to working professionals, families, and individuals who deserve access to specialized mental health care without driving to Los Angeles or beyond.
Being embedded here — not operating remotely into the community, but actually part of it — shapes how we think about care, how we structure our programs, and what we offer. South Orange County Wellness exists for this region.
Communities We Serve
This is what mental health care should feel like.
Clinically rigorous. Genuinely personal. Built for the life you're actually living. If you're ready to find out whether South Orange County Wellness is the right fit, our admissions team is here.
